Under review

These Official Rules are published in full and written to be relied on, but they are with a promotions attorney for review and may change before the giveaway opens. Wording may be corrected, clarified, or tightened; a few details — the sponsor’s legal name, the business address and the effective date — are still being finalised and appear as marked blanks.

Final versions will be published before the contest starts. Every change is published here with the version noted, and anyone with a 2SG account is emailed when a new version goes up — never quietly. Once entries open, the version in force on the day you enter governs your entry. Questions: support@2sg.us.

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Every entry has an equal chance, whether it was earned by buying merch or by mailing a card. Void where prohibited.

The short version.

This summary is here to be readable. It is not part of the rules and does not change them — if it ever disagrees with the sections below, the sections below win.

§ 01Who is running this

The sponsor and promoter of this giveaway is 2nd String Gaming, LLC ("2SG", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of 2sg.us and its associated stores, applications and social accounts (the "Site"). The company is in formation and will be registered before the giveaway opens; until then the business is operated by its founder under the same name. Reach us at support@2sg.us.

We sell merchandise. From time to time we run a sweepstakes to promote it (each, a "Giveaway"). During a Giveaway we award sweepstakes entries ("Entries") to eligible people who buy qualifying merchandise or who use the free alternative method of entry described in Section 4, giving them the chance to win the prize described in Section 7 (the "Prize").

Entries are never sold. You cannot buy an Entry. Entries are awarded, they have no cash value, they cannot be transferred, sold, gifted or exchanged, and they are not property.

Plain speak

You cannot buy an Entry. You buy merchandise, and Entries come with it. That distinction is the whole reason a sweepstakes is lawful where a lottery is not, so we keep to it strictly.

We may amend these rules at any time by publishing a new version with a new version number and date. Material changes will be posted on the Site, and you may be asked to accept the current version before entering again. The version in force when you obtained an Entry governs that Entry.

These rules should be read alongside our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Shipping and Returns Policy, each of which is incorporated here by reference.

We do not operate gambling, real-money gaming, or any game of chance requiring payment. This is a sweepstakes with a free method of entry of equal value. Nothing on the Site is legal advice, and you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

§ 02Who can enter

To enter you must, at the time of entry and at the time the Prize is awarded:

  1. be a legal resident of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, excluding Rhode Island, and excluding Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands (each an "Excluded Territory");
  2. be eighteen (18) years of age or older, or the age of majority in your state of residence, whichever is greater;
  3. hold a registered account on 2sg.us in your own legal name, with a complete and accurate residential mailing address;
  4. not appear on the US Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals or any comparable sanctions list; and
  5. not be an excluded person under Section 3.

The Giveaway is void in Rhode Island, in every Excluded Territory, and anywhere else it is prohibited or restricted by law. No purchase from any Excluded Territory or from Rhode Island will earn Entries, and any Entries obtained in breach of this Section are void.

§ 03Who cannot enter, and who can

The following people may not enter or win:

  1. the sponsor named in Section 1;
  2. any person holding an administrator role on the Site;
  3. any 2SG Partner — an affiliate creator who earns commission on merchandise sales; and
  4. the immediate family members of, and any person living in the same household as, anyone in (a) to (c), whether or not related.

"Immediate family member" means a spouse, domestic partner, parent, step-parent, child, step-child or sibling.

Plain speak — mods can enter

Community moderators are eligible. They are unpaid volunteers who receive no money, merchandise, prizes or perks of any kind from 2SG, they are not agents or contractors, and they take no part in running the Giveaway or selecting a winner.

They also cannot see the things that would give them an edge. Contest entry totals, anyone's entry balances, order history and spend are restricted to administrators at the database level. A moderator sees exactly what any other player sees about the odds, which is nothing.

Moderators are eligible on the express basis described above. If a moderator ever receives anything of value from 2SG, they become an excluded person from that moment and any Entries they hold are void.

§ 04How to enter

There are three ways to obtain Entries. They are worth the same, and every Entry has an identical chance of being drawn.

Method one — Express Entries

Buy qualifying merchandise from the Site during the Entry Period and you will be awarded the Express Entry amount stated for each item you buy. Every qualifying item carries a fixed number of Entries, published on that item’s page in the store and on the Giveaway page.

  • The amount does not change with what you pay. A sale price, a discount code, tax and postage make no difference to the Entries an item awards. Two people who buy the same item earn the same Entries, whatever either of them paid.
  • Buy two of the same item and you earn that item’s Entries twice.
  • Gift cards do not earn Entries, including any 2SG gift card we may issue in future. Spending a gift card on merchandise earns that item’s Entries in the ordinary way — the Entries are awarded when the money becomes merchandise, once.
  • Digital goods, shipping-only items and any product we identify as non-qualifying do not earn Entries. An item that carries no stated Express Entry amount is non-qualifying.
  • If an order is refunded or charged back, the Entries awarded by the returned items are reversed in full, whether or not you have already added them to a Giveaway.

Plain speak

Each thing in the store has a number of entries printed on it, the way a cereal box has a number of tokens. That number is the same for everyone and does not move with the price, so nothing here rewards spending more.

Method two — Free Online Entry (no purchase necessary)

The postal entry box is not open yet. Until it is, the free method of entry is a form on this website, and it is worth exactly what a purchased entry is worth.

Sign in to your 2sg.us account, open the Giveaway page and complete the free entry form with:

  • your full legal name, exactly as it appears on your government-issued ID;
  • your complete residential mailing address, including any apartment, unit or room number; and
  • the current entry phrase, published on the Giveaway page and changed weekly. On this form the phrase must be typed exactly as published — the same capital and lower-case letters, the same punctuation and the same spelling, including any part of it that looks like a mistake. Spaces before or after the phrase are ignored. A copy button is provided on the Giveaway page so the phrase can be copied rather than retyped.

Each valid submission is worth ten (10) Entries. You may submit one form every four (4) hours, up to six (6) per day — the same sixty Entries a day the postal route allows. Submissions beyond that limit, made while not signed in, or carrying the wrong phrase for the date submitted, are void. One account per person; the household limits in Section 5 apply to this route exactly as they do to the others.

This route is temporary

The free online entry form may be removed without notice once the postal entry box is active. Entries already earned through it are unaffected and stay in your account. We will publish the postal address on this page and on the Giveaway page when it opens.

Method three — Mail In Entry (no purchase necessary)

Not open yet. The entry box is being confirmed; this section is published now so you can see the rules that will apply, and the address will be filled in here when it opens.

Hand-print on a plain, unlined 3×5 inch index card:

  • your full legal name, exactly as it appears on your government-issued ID;
  • the email address on your 2sg.us account;
  • your complete residential mailing address, including any apartment, unit or room number; and
  • the date you are writing the card.

On the blank reverse side, hand-print the current entry phrase, which is published on the Giveaway page at 2sg.us and changes every week. The phrase must be the one that was current on the date you wrote on the card — not the phrase current when it arrives. A card written on Friday and opened the following Tuesday is still valid. A hand-written card is not required to match capitalisation or punctuation exactly. It is read by a person, and a card is accepted where the phrase is legible and unmistakably the right one for its date.

Mail the card, one card per envelope, with your own postage, to:

[Postal Entry Address TBD]
ATTN: OPEN ROSTER ENTRY
LAS VEGAS, NV

Each valid card is worth ten (10) Entries. During this Giveaway you may send up to six (6) cards per day, counted by the date written on the card. In later Giveaways the daily limit may differ and will be stated on the Giveaway page.

A card is void if it is illegible; if the date is missing, unreadable, in the future, or outside the Entry Period; if the phrase is missing or is not the phrase for that date; if it arrives more than seven (7) days after the date written on it; if more than one card shares an envelope; or if it exceeds the daily limit for its household. Where more cards share a date than the daily limit allows, the earliest processed are honoured and the rest are void. Mechanically reproduced, photocopied or printed cards are void.

Plain speak — why the phrase

Anyone can photocopy a stack of cards. Nobody can photocopy a phrase that changed last Tuesday. It is there so a hand-written card is actually hand-written, and so the free route stays worth the same as the paid one.

We are not responsible for mail that is late, lost, misdirected, damaged, postage-due or illegible. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. Entries are credited to the account matching the email address on the card; if no account exists, the Entries are held for six (6) months for you to claim by registering with that address, after which they expire.

§ 05Entries must be added to the Giveaway

Earning entries does not enter you

Entries are credited to your account balance. They do not take part in any Giveaway until you sign in and add them to it yourself. Entries left in your balance when a Giveaway is drawn cannot win anything.

Adding Entries to a Giveaway is final. They cannot be withdrawn, moved to a different Giveaway, or returned to your balance, and they are used up by the draw whether you win or not.

You must hold a registered account to add Entries to a Giveaway. Entries earned by mail and credited to an unclaimed record cannot take part in a Giveaway until the account is registered and the Entries claimed.

We will send reminders to accounts holding unadded Entries while a Giveaway is open, but we are not obliged to and it remains your responsibility to add them before entries close.

§ 06Limits

LimitValueApplies to
Entries in one Giveaway2,640Per person, across all methods combined
Entries held at once2,640Per person, balance plus entries in a Giveaway
People per household2See below
Cards per day6Per household, by the date written on the card
Accounts per person1One account, one email address, one person

One entrant per person and per email address. Entries obtained by any person exceeding a stated limit, or through more than one account, are void, and we may disqualify every Entry associated with that person.

No more than two (2) people may enter from one household. A household means a distinct residential unit: street address, unit or apartment or room number, and postal code together. Two rooms in a hall of residence are two households; a hall of residence without a room number is not a household and cannot be placed. Two people entering from one household must be genuinely different people with different names, different email addresses and different payment methods.

Where a third or later account seeks to enter from one household, its Entries are held pending review. We may ask for reasonable proof of separate residency before releasing them, and we may release them at our discretion where a household genuinely contains more than two eligible adults.

We may adjust or remove Entries at any time for good cause, including breach of these rules. Entries expire or are forfeited as described in Sections 4 and 13.

§ 07The Prize

ItemApproximate retail value
One (1) Xbox Series X console, 1TB, with disc driveUS$799.99
Twelve (12) months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, delivered as twelve one-month codes on the schedule in this sectionUS$275.88
One (1) copy of Grand Theft Auto VI for Xbox Series X|SUS$79.99
Total approximate retail valueUS$1,155.86

One (1) Prize will be awarded. The console and the game ship as a single package. Exact makes and models are listed on the giveaway page at 2sg.us and form part of these rules.

How the twelve months of Game Pass are delivered

The Game Pass portion of the Prize is not delivered all at once. Microsoft does not sell a twelve-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate card, so the twelve months are supplied as twelve (12) separate one-month codes, issued to the winner on this schedule:

  1. Code 1 — with the Prize, when the Prize is delivered.
  2. Code 2 — twenty-one (21) days after Code 1 is issued.
  3. Codes 3 to 12 — one code on the first day of each month, for the ten (10) months following Code 2.

Plain speak

You get a code straight away, a second one three weeks later so you are never close to running out, and then one on the 1st of the month for the next ten months. Twelve codes, twelve months, about eleven months of calendar from the first to the last.

The schedule is fixed and published here so you always know when the next code is due.

Codes are purchased digitally and sent to the email address on the winner’s entry. Our obligation is to issue each code by the date shown. Redeeming a code, keeping an eligible Microsoft account, and any consequences of not redeeming a code are the winner's responsibility. Codes are supplied in a form that can be added to an account that already has an active membership; redemption terms, stacking limits and account eligibility are set by Microsoft and are outside our control.

If a code is late, short, or cannot be redeemed through our fault, tell us at support@2sg.us and we will replace it or, at our option, pay the then-current one-month retail price for that month. That is the whole of our liability for the Game Pass portion of the Prize. Unclaimed or unredeemed codes are not refunded and are not exchanged for cash.

The remaining codes stop being issued if the winner asks us in writing to stop, or if the winner's account is closed or becomes ineligible to receive them.

Approximate retail value is stated as at 15 October 2026 and may change. We will not make up any difference if the retail value of any component falls, and no component may be exchanged for another.

About the stated value

The approximate retail value is fixed as at 15 October 2026, the day entries open, and it is the figure that governs this Giveaway. Retail prices move — consoles rose in August 2026 and Game Pass Ultimate fell in April — so the real-world cost of the Prize on the day it ships may be higher or lower than the figure above.

We will not make up any difference if a component falls in value, and no component may be exchanged for another. The stated value is also the figure used for tax reporting.

The Prize is awarded as is, without any warranty from us, express or implied. Manufacturer warranties, where they exist, pass to the winner. The Prize is not transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is offered, except that we may substitute a prize of equal or greater retail value if the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason.

Third-party names, marks and products mentioned here belong to their owners. Those companies are not sponsors of this Giveaway, have not endorsed it, and are not involved in it in any way.

We pay shipping to an address within the eligible territory. You are responsible for all taxes on the Prize, including federal, state and local income tax.

§ 08Odds, and how the winner is drawn

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries added to the Giveaway. Because there is no limit on how many Entries the Giveaway may receive in total, no fixed odds can be stated.

Entries close at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time on 28 November 2026. The winner will be drawn on or about on or around 5 December 2026. The seven days between are a processing window: no new Entries count toward this Giveaway, but cards already in the post are received, reviewed and added, so a card written on the last day still has time to arrive. Our servers are the official timekeeper.

At the close of entries the pool of eligible Entries is frozen. A random seed is then generated — not chosen — and each Entry is ordered by the SHA-256 hash of that seed combined with the Entry's identifier. The lowest result wins, and the next distinct entrants in order become the first and second alternates.

Plain speak — you can check our work

We publish the seed and the frozen entry list after the draw. Anyone can run the same calculation and get the same winner. We could not rig it after the fact without the published numbers no longer matching, and we could not rig it beforehand because the seed does not exist until the pool is already locked.

The draw may be conducted live on stream. The published seed and entry list are the authoritative record of the result; nothing said or shown during a broadcast creates an entitlement to a Prize.

§ 09Claiming the Prize

The winner will be notified using the contact details on their account. You must respond within seven (7) days of the date we first send notice.

Before the Prize is released you must, within the time we specify:

  1. confirm your eligibility and provide government-issued photo identification matching the name on your account;
  2. sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and, except where prohibited, a Publicity Release;
  3. provide a completed IRS Form W-9, because the value of the Prize exceeds US$600 and we are required to report it on a Form 1099; and
  4. confirm a shipping address within the eligible territory.

If you do not respond within seven (7) days, cannot be reached, decline the Prize, are found ineligible, fail to return a required document, or provide details that do not match your account, the Prize is forfeited and we will award it to the first alternate, then the second. If no alternate claims it, we may leave the Prize unawarded or roll it into a later Giveaway.

Being shown as a winner on any screen, broadcast or message does not entitle you to a Prize until your eligibility has been verified and every required document received.

§ 10Publicity and the winners page

Except where prohibited by law, by entering you consent to our publishing, in connection with this Giveaway and in any medium: the profile name on your 2sg.us account and your state of residence.

We do not publish your legal name, street address, email address or photograph without your separate written permission. Winners are listed on the winners page at 2sg.us, and a written winners list is available on request to support@2sg.us for ninety (90) days after each draw.

§ 11No cheating

You will not, and will not attempt to:

  1. register or use more than one account, or enter on behalf of another person;
  2. enter from more than two accounts in one household, or misstate your address to appear to be a separate household;
  3. use bots, scripts, automated means or any other method to obtain Entries other than as described in Section 4;
  4. reproduce, photocopy, print or mass-produce mail-in cards, or have another person write cards on your behalf;
  5. exploit a defect in the Site or in the entry process, or tamper with the entry, drawing or claim process; or
  6. obtain a refund or file a chargeback on an order after using the Entries it awarded.

Entries or Prizes obtained through any of the above are void. We may disqualify you, void every Entry you hold, close your account, and pursue any remedy available in law. Our decision on whether conduct breaches this Section is final. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it.

Attempting to damage or undermine the Site may breach criminal and civil law, and we reserve the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted.

§ 12If something goes wrong

We may suspend, modify, cancel or terminate all or part of a Giveaway if it cannot be run as planned — because of infection, tampering, technical failure, fraud, or any cause beyond our reasonable control that corrupts the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of it. If we do, we may award the Prize by random drawing from the eligible Entries received before the cause arose, or not award it at all.

We are not responsible for entries or Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, garbled, or not recorded because of technical failure, human error, or any cause outside our control; for any error in these rules, in any Giveaway material or on the Site; or for any injury or damage to any person or property arising from participation or from acceptance, use or misuse of a Prize.

If Entries are lost or destroyed through our fault, your sole remedy is replacement with an equal number of Entries.

§ 13Your account

Entries credited to a registered account do not expire while the account remains active. Entries credited to an unclaimed mail-in record expire six (6) months after the card is received.

If an account is inactive for five (5) years we may close it and forfeit any Entries it holds; we will send a warning to the address on the account at least three (3) months beforehand.

We may restrict an account's ability to enter, or suspend it entirely, for breach of these rules. A suspended account can still sign in and read the reason it was suspended. We may also close an account for good cause, in which case any Entries it holds are forfeited.

§ 14Release, limitation of liability and indemnity

By entering, you release and agree to hold harmless the sponsor and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents and representatives (together, the "Released Parties") from any claim, cost, liability, loss or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your participation, from your use of the Site, or from the acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of a Prize.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to claim punitive, incidental, indirect or consequential damages, any multiplication or increase of damages, and legal fees. Your recovery is limited to your actual out-of-pocket costs of entering, which for a mail-in entrant means postage and stationery.

You agree to indemnify the Released Parties against any claim brought by a third party arising from your breach of these rules.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this Section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

§ 15Disputes, arbitration and class action waiver

Please read this section carefully

It affects how disputes between us are resolved. It requires individual arbitration and gives up your right to sue in court before a judge or jury, and your right to take part in a class action.

These rules, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to a Giveaway, are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days of written notice to support@2sg.us will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Clark County, Nevada, or conducted remotely at the arbitrator's discretion. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis. You and we each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement in this Section is void.

Small claims. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, if it qualifies.

Nothing in this Section prevents either of us from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or prevent unauthorised access to the Site.

§ 16Communications and privacy

We will send you messages about your account, your Entries and any Giveaway you have entered. These are transactional messages and are part of running the Giveaway.

We may also send marketing messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any marketing email or by writing to support@2sg.us, and we will stop within ten (10) business days. Every commercial email we send carries a working unsubscribe link and our postal address, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about a Giveaway you have entered, and does not close your account.

Information you give us is handled under our Privacy Policy. In short: we collect what we need to run the Giveaway and send you the Prize — your name, email, mailing address and date of birth — and we keep records of entries and winners for as long as the law requires us to.

Images of mail-in cards contain your name and home address. They are stored privately, are never published, and are visible only to administrators.

§ 17General

If any provision of these rules is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed and the rest will remain in force. Headings are for convenience only. These rules, together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Giveaway and supersede anything said elsewhere, including on stream or on social media.

This Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitch, Discord, Meta, X, YouTube, TikTok, Microsoft, or any other platform, publisher or manufacturer. You release each of them in full. Any questions go to support@2sg.us, not to them.
